Privacy

What the current app and service process.

Account identity and session credentials are held by the identity provider and the device secure store; no service key is placed in the app.
The service processes public reading requests and, when signed in, favorites, reader settings and setlists. Offline packs are encrypted on-device only when you choose to download an eligible pack.
The Android app requests Internet only, has backups disabled, and does not request contacts, location, microphone, storage or advertising identifiers. No mobile analytics SDK is enabled.

Use ChordMint lawfully and respectfully.

Do not upload, copy or request lyrics, chords, files or other material unless you have the needed rights or a documented lawful basis.
Public arrangements can be removed or blocked for rights, territory, safety or quality reasons. A quality label is not copyright clearance or a warranty.
The initial Android release is free. It does not offer in-app purchase, advertising, DRM, a warranty, guaranteed availability or a promise that a song will remain available.

The app is built with open-source components.

The mobile client uses Expo, React, React Native, React Navigation and the Supabase JavaScript client under their respective upstream licences.
A complete dependency inventory is shipped with the source and reviewed before a public APK; licence texts remain with their upstream projects.
ChordMint branding, the service and community content are not granted by those component licences.

Install only a verified release from this website after one is published.

There is no public APK today. Debug and candidate builds are test-only and must not be downloaded or installed by the public.
A public release will show its version, checksum and signing identity. Do not install files forwarded in chat, modified APKs or builds from look-alike sites.
Updates may require installing a newer signed APK. Back up nothing by copying app files; account data and eligible offline packs follow their documented service rules.

Get help without payment or a new account.

Email support with the app version, device model, Android version and a short non-sensitive description of the problem.
Never send passwords, one-time codes, access tokens, private keys or full private song content to support.
Support cannot bypass rights, account security, service limits or reviewer decisions.

Report a rights concern or removal request.

Include the ChordMint URL, the work or arrangement title, your relationship to the right, territory and a concise explanation.
Do not paste full lyrics, chords, credentials or unrelated personal data into the report. Links to your own evidence are preferable.
A report triggers review; it is not an immediate ownership finding, publication promise or guarantee that third-party copies can be removed.

Start a deletion request without a payment flow.

Send the request from the account email where possible. We first revoke sessions and deactivate application access to protect the account.
Final Auth deletion or pseudonymisation follows retention, rights, reward, billing and takedown checks. Minimum audit evidence may be retained where required.
Deleting an account does not promise removal of independently controlled copies or content that must be retained for a lawful review.
